My Silly Girl

This girl makes us laugh everyday. She has quite the personality...so funny!

Nice Ensemble!

Sydney is a Daddy's Girl! If she can't have her Daddy, she'll settle for his hat! :)

Fun With Friends

A couple of weeks ago we met the Turners' at a local hamburger place and had lots of fun. We love that the kids are just old enough to have their own booth...so much nicer than highchairs bunched around the table!

Happy Easter

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He is risen, just as He said." Matthew 28:5-6

Thank you Lord for your risen Son. Thank you for the hope He has given us through His resurrection.

One of Gracie Claire's favorite Veggie Tales movies is "The Easter Carol." I LOVE the movie and I LOVE this song--"Hope's Song"-- from the sweet movie.

"There is nothing left to fear,
Nothing Heaven knows--
For He died for us to give us life
And to give us hope He rose.
He died for us to give us life
And to give us hope He rose."

Awesome.

The Zoo

We took the girlies to the zoo this week and had so much fun! We haven't been in a while, and this was the first time Sydney has been where she really enjoyed it. I love our zoo. I'm so glad we got to go experience it together as a family. And now...the pictures. :)

Waiting to go in!

Sunday's Coming

Today I was thinking about when I saw "The Passion of the Christ." It wasn't an enjoyable movie--I sobbed through most of it--and I haven't seen it since. But, I clearly remember the picture it painted of the torture that Jesus went through for us. For me. It made me literally sick to my stomach to watch it. Why would our perfect Lord take all of our sin upon Himself and go to hell for us?

"This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." 1 John 4: 9-10

It boggles my mind. He loves me. He died for me. He paid the price that I was suppose to pay. Amazing. His grace saved me. What an amazing Lord we have.

"Everyone has sinned. No one measures up to God's glory. The free gift of God's grace makes all of us right with Him. Christ Jesus paid the price to set us free. God gave Him as a sacrifice to pay for sins. So He forgives the sins of those who have faith in His blood. God did all of that to prove that He is fair. Because of His mercy He did not punish people for the sins they had committed before Jesus died for them." Romans 3:23-25

Today is a day set aside for remembering His death...but, Sunday's coming. He's not dead. He's risen!

Making A List

This is just a reminder list to help me remember what I want to blog about over the next few days...
  • The Zoo
  • Almost Killing the Fish
  • Easter
  • Friends
  • The Garden
I know this is a short list, but I forget easily these days. I think I'm forgetting something, so I might add to the list as I remember. Sorry for the boring post. :) Happy Friday!!

Bloggin' Fool

This is my 8th post today! I was a little behind, so I thought instead of one huge post, I'd do several smaller ones. So, be sure to scroll down to see all of the other ones! The point of this post was to tell everyone about the other ones--which is really boring, so here are some new pictures of my sweets!

Gracie's Shower

Gracie, my sister, and Nkere, my brother-in-law are expecting their first baby in May! We are so excited to meet our new nephew Andre (Dre) Isaiah! He will be our third sweet nephew! I LOVE being an aunt! It's one of the greatest things ever!

Saturday was Gracie's first baby shower! It was so fun to get to see her showered with friendship, fun, and presents...of course! I tried narrowing down the pictures (which I had permission from Gracie to post) but, it was a little rough.

Betsy did a great job setting everything up! Thanks for opening up your home Betsy!!

The Spread

The Cake

Aunt Sandra decoupaged and stained the letters for his name...aren't they cute?!

Gracie Claire was Aunt Gracie's little helper!

My mom found a onesie that says, "Small, Dark, and Handsome!" So cute!

This is Gracie opening something that I gave her. She admired mine, so I had Emily make her one too. Look close--she's crying. I love making the people I love most cry with gifts. I promise I'm not morbid! :)

Here it is!!

Aunt Amanda, Gracie and Dre, Gigi, and Aunt Sandra

My Pretty Girl

Thank you Sandra, Betsy, Hope, Niki, Jodi, and all of her friends who came for making this day special for my sister!

Piggy Tails

Sydney's hair is finally long enough to put into "piggy tails!"

ANTM & Some Evening Yoga

This girl has so many facial expressions and poses that it's as if she's already preparing herself for ANTM (America's Next Top Model.) This would be her "yeah, I know I'm cute...what ya gonna do 'bout it!" expression.

This would be her modeling her dress. We have to work on her holding the pose. :)

Gracie Claire loves the "Good Night Show" with Star and Nina on the Sprout network. One of the things they always do is an evening stretch. This particular night they did a yoga pose/stretch. I loved how into it she got!

Our Little "Pancake"

Sydney loves to eat. She usually eats more than Gracie Claire does. One morning, I made pancakes (one of the girls' favorites) for breakfast. With the last bit of the batter, I made one huge pancake. Who's the girl that wanted it? Our little "pancake" (you know...instead of "cupcake") Sydney Hope.

Molly Chillin'

Our baby is 5 MONTHS OLD! How is that even possible!!! She is the easiest, most content baby! We can't imagine our family without her! We love you so much Molly Joy!!

Chillin' in the Bumbo

It's been a rough day...so, I'm chillin' with Aunt Gracie!

Sleepin' Sydney...or Non-Sleepin' Sydney

Sydney has been testing the waters lately when it comes to nap time. She is a fabulous sleeper, but now that she knows how to climb out of her bad and open doors, she thinks it's even more fabulous to see if she can get out of nap time. Paul came up with his own tactic. Since there are no locks on their bedroom doors, he shoves a book in the space between the door and the door jam and jams the door so you can't open it from the inside. Now...before anyone shakes their finger, we promise that this has only been done during nap time when we are aware of what's going on. We don't lock her in at night. I promise. :) And, we only had to do it a couple of times for her to get the picture. Anyway.

Thank you, Eric Carle, for your help in soothing our daughter to sleep!

Napping on the floor is better than no nap at all...right?!
