Thanksgiving 2012

We had a great Thanksgiving week and day!  One of the things I love most about being a teacher is the time off I get with my ladies.  When they're off, I'm off.  It's awesome.  We had lots of fun playing, running errands with Gigi, and spending extra time with P/Daddy when he was off.  Love, love, love that he took Wednesday-Friday off! :)

Thanksgiving Day we woke up to a text that my mom had been up sick during the night.  We were all so sad, because this was the year that we would all be together for Thanksgiving lunch at my parents' house.  After many texts and calls, we all decided that since mom never had fever, aches, etc., and was already feeling better, we would go anyway.  We were so glad we did! My brother fried a turkey, the littles played, we talked about this and that, laughed lots, and we loved listening to what the kiddies were thankful for.  So stinkin' sweet.

I am so thankful for a family who lives close and who we love spending time with.  It's always so fun to all be together!  Love!
 Our 3 Blessings
 LOVE
Best picture we have of all of them together!  EVER!  Love it!
Molly's squeezing them tight, no?! :)
Playing a little Thanksgiving Day croquet! :)
The day wouldn't be complete without a sister picture...and how 'bout that crazy long, hyper extended arm?! :)
Love him.

After lunch with my side of the family, we headed over to Jeremy's (Paul's brother) and Sharon's house for Thanksgiving dinner with them and MaryLee (P's and J's mom) and Carl.  We loved spending the evening together eating yummy food, laughing, and watching the kiddies play.  We are so blessed to have both sides of our family close by.  Very thankful we were able to spend the evening with them!
How cutie patootie are these 2?!  Sweet cousins!

Sadly, this is the only pic I got at J's and S's.  I put my camera down and got distracted the rest of the night with fun and food.

It was a great Thanksgiving!  We couldn't be more blessed!

When Daddy Is Away...

these 3 look like this:

So sad that Daddy had to be out of town for work. :-(

This one wanted to have nothing to do with me taking her pic...

Everything got better when I told them we would go stay with BigPa and Gigi!

They got bedtime stories with BigPa...which they loved!

They shared a room...which they loved!

And they got some quality Mommy time in at the park and with a movie and popcorn in Mommy's and Daddy's bed...which they loved!

I'd say, even though we hate when Daddy is gone, we had a pretty great 3 days. We love that he's back though!!!

I Heart School Pics

Seriously. They are the least favorite of the kinds of photos I like, but my little ladies never take a bad picture. I mean, how adorable are they?! And I didn't mind my picture this year either!

My beautiful 2nd grader and Kindergartener. Love!

Other than the fact that I needed my highlights touched up (as you can see, I'm not a natural blonde...ha!), I was fine with my teacher picture this year. :)

Birthday Date Night

For my birthday, P gave me a night at the Gaylord. We ate at a yummy restaurant for dinner, ate the best breakfast (ummm, we like to eat obviously), and we went to the ICE exhibit. It was fun to have a little time to ourselves. Thanks babe, for continuing to spoil me. :)

The sky was so pretty when we left, the girls were sassied up to go to Mimi's for the night, and we were ready to go!

At dinner, we had a cheese plate...our fave! We love cheese. And then, they brought me a creme brûlée for dessert. Yum!

The Gaylord was all decorated for Christmas and this was the point when I decided we were going to have to come back and bring the girls. So fun!

I love, love, love the breakfast buffet there. So, so good.

As we walked into the ICE exhibit the next morning, there was this giant twinkling tree and the Pixar boy on the moon. Loved it!

The giant coats were barely enough to keep us from freezing. So fun to wear though! :)

The exhibit was based around the characters from Madagascar. So cute!

I loved the giant Nativity! Pretty!

My birthday was so great! Thanks to my awesome hubs for making it special! Love you!

34

I turned 34 a couple of weeks ago and it was just the best day/week. When I woke up, I was smothered with kisses and "Happy Birthday Mommy!" The girls each got me a card with a gift card to one of my fave shopping spots in each card. They know me so well. ;) P gave me a sweet card and a little getaway to the Gaylord. (Post on that coming soon.) He always does a super-duper job planning with the girls. Love him so much! I was made to feel super special by my favorite peeps. I got my annual birthday song phone call from my parents as we were driving to school, and as usual, the harmonies were spot on. ;) They sent me the best card and my dad wrote me the best note. I already knew he'd written something, (my dad has a way with words), so I'd decided before I'd even opened it that I wasn't going to cry. Oops...that didn't work out so well. My students made me feel so special, giving me the one gift I'd asked from them, following my directions the first time given. :) Friends made my day with cards, texts, phone calls, and FB wishes. (Isn't FB the best thing ever on your bday?!) Anyway, it was a great day/week. We finished my actual birthday with cupcakes. I even blew out a candle. :) Thank you, family and friends, for blessing my life. I'm über blessed fo sho!
