My fave engagement picture...

9 what you ask? One month ago tomorrow, Paul and I celebrated our 9th anniversary! Of course I'm late posting about it, but I couldn't just skip it! The past 9 years have been ones full of ups and downs, lots of laughing, the 3 best gifts ever, and we've done all of it together! I couldn't imagine going through life with anyone else. Paul was seriously created just for me! I'm telling you that there is no other man on earth who would put up with some of the tomfoolery that I put him through. I can't write enough words for how thankful I am for him! Babe...thanks for loving me, providing for our family, being so faithful and loyal, being my best friend, and being the most amazing Daddy to our little ladies! You're my one in a maskapitillion! I love you!

Summer Spectacular ~ 2010

This year's Summer Spectacular theme was, "Elijah - On Fire For God!" As usual, it was great! The girls (especially Gracie Claire and Sydney) were pumped and couldn't wait for the day we got to head out with our awesome matching shirts and learn about the life of Elijah. If you've never heard of/seen Summer Spectacular, it's basically a very amped up version of Vacation Bible School...it's amazing! The last couple of years, my brother-in-law Nkere has had big roles, starring as Jonah in (duh) Jonah and he was Haman (the evil guy) in last year's production of Esther. They take these Bible stories and basically (even though it's not basic at all) turn them into musical productions. You always hear lots of tunes that you know, but with different words. My fave this year..."Boom, Boom, POW!" Loved it...loved it even more that my Graciellia (my sister) was one of the amazing dancers. I love that the girls are getting to grow up with memories like Summer Spectacular all while learning about the Lord at the same time! It's awesome!

Aunt Gracie with her nieces and nephew...they loved finding her on stage. At one point, there was someone standing slightly in front of Gracie, blocking Gracie Claire's view, and she looked over at me and said in a very loud, stern voice, "THAT GIRL IS STANDING IN FRONT OF MY AUNT GRACIE!!" She wasn't having it!

Dre loved watching his Mommy perform every night too! :)

So, in conclusion, Summer Spectacular was a hit according to the 3 Little Ladies. They hearted it!

A Day With Mimi

Today we went over to Paul's mom's (Mimi's) house in Grapevine and met Paul's brother Jeremy and our nephew Parker and headed out for a fun day. Did you know that today is Flag Day? Well friends, it is! So first we headed to a little Flag Day celebration on Main St. in Grapevine. We heard the National Anthem, heard some history about our flag, and said the Pledge. The Star Telegram was there and took a picture of Gracie Claire and Sydney and they're going to be in the paper!! How cool is that?!

Gracie Claire and Sydney were a little more into celebrating Flag Day than Molly. She preferred to dig in the dirt with her flag. :)

After the Flag Day ceremony, we headed to a Chinese food buffet, stuffed our faces, headed back to Mimi's to slather on sunscreen, and then headed to the pool. Ahhh...I love spending the day at the pool. It's for sure one of my fave summer activities.

Happy Birthday Superman Sam!!

Our cutie nephew Sam turns 3 on Tuesday! His Superman birthday party/swim party was on Saturday. We had a blast and loved celebrating Sam! If you know Sam you know that he loves all things Superman/Superhero. He refers to Caleb and Sandra by their superhero names of the day (I'm pretty sure they change every now and then) and he often strikes superhero poses. Love him! The girls LOVE him so much! They loved getting to spend the afternoon with him just playing at the pool!
