This year's Summer Spectacular theme was, "Elijah - On Fire For God!" As usual, it was great! The girls (especially Gracie Claire and Sydney) were pumped and couldn't wait for the day we got to head out with our awesome matching shirts and learn about the life of Elijah. If you've never heard of/seen Summer Spectacular, it's basically a very amped up version of Vacation Bible School...it's amazing! The last couple of years, my brother-in-law
Nkere has had big roles, starring as Jonah in (duh) Jonah and he was Haman (the evil guy) in last year's production of Esther. They take these Bible stories and basically (even though it's not basic at all) turn them into musical productions. You always hear lots of tunes that you know, but with different words. Graciellia (my sister) was one of the amazing dancers. I love that the girls are getting to grow up with memories like Summer Spectacular all while learning about the Lord at the same time! It's awesome!

Aunt Gracie with her nieces and nephew...they loved finding her on stage. At one point, there was someone standing slightly in front of Gracie, blocking Gracie Claire's view, and she looked over at me and said in a very loud, stern voice, "THAT GIRL IS STANDING IN FRONT OF MY AUNT GRACIE!!" She wasn't having it!
Dre loved watching his Mommy perform every night too! :)

So, in conclusion, Summer Spectacular was a hit according to the 3 Little Ladies. They hearted it!
