Molly's 2nd Birthday

Our sweet Molly turned 2 at the end of October. She has been such a precious blessing to me and to our whole family! I've always written a letter to my girls on their birthday, so that will come first, then a ridiculous amount of pictures of Molly's day. :)

My Sweet Molly Joy,

The last two years have flown by. You are the perfect way to complete our little family of 5. You have such an amazing love for life. Every person you come in to contact with smiles. There are so many things to love about you...

You love to make us laugh. You are always dancing, being silly, or telling us your version of a knock-knock joke. Lately you've been dancing like an Oompa-Loompa. You're the cutest Oompa-Loompa ever.

You love your big sisters. They are the first people you ask about everyday when you wake up. You love playing with them, copying the silly things they do, and singing and dancing with them.

You love your Daddy and Mommy. Daddy is your favorite person. You love to wrestle with him, tickle him, sing with him, and sit on his lap. You are Mommy's little snuggler. You love having Mommy rock you and sing with you every night before bed. You love making Mommy and Daddy fight for your kisses. You're a stinker. The sweetest stinker.

You love to sing. Your favorite songs are Jesus Loves Me, Make Me a Servant, and the Barney Song. I know you're only 2, but you carry a really good tune. I love hearing you sing. You love playing in the pantry. You lock yourself in there every chance you get. You're a bit sneaky...probably more like a lot sneaky. You have no fear. You climb, you jump, you plan. I love how mischievous you are. You love seeing how much you can get into. This could be a bad thing someday, but for now, I love it. You love snuggling your baby dolls/Bob. Bob is the little stuffed dog your big sisters got for you for your birthday. You're a little Mommy at heart. It's still amazing to me how God put that natural Mommy thing into all three of my girls.

You love Jesus. Another amazing thing. The fact that, at two, you love singing to Jesus, raising your hands up in praise at church, and reading Bible stories. You are going to make such a difference for His kingdom. Daddy and I can't wait to see how He uses you.

We love you our sweet Molls!
Love,
Mommy
Molly's Birthday Day
I took the day off to spend with Molly on her birthday. As you can see below, she woke up in a fabulous mood. It was like she had planned to try the Terrible Two's on her first day of being two. Really...she just slept late and didn't like the fact that she was being forced to wait to eat (we took her for a Chick-fil-A breakfast.)

A happy 2 year old emerges below...

Chicken Minis are always a good solution...

2 Happy Girls -- We didn't get a good smiley picture of Molly eating her birthday breakfast because her mouth was constantly full! :)

After breakfast, we made a birthday trip to Albertson's. Yes, this mama was not prepared for our family party that evening. Thank you to Albertson's for your awesome blue car carts and amazing cakes at an affordable price. See the birthday cake, which we paid $18 for, below.

Pink with Zebra would make any 2 year old princess happy!

After coming home from Albertson's, what did Molly want to do, you ask? Eat some more! She loves her some food--as you can see by the look on her face above. :)
Next on the birthday girl's agenda? Blowing bubbles with her big sister! :)

The combination of her Chuck's plus a tutu pretty much fits our Molly's personality.

Our Sweet Birthday Girl
The big par-tay took place at our favorite chicken dinner house. Nothing like a little fried chicken to celebrate the big 0-2.
While we waited...

Once inside...

Love this...
When it was time to bring out the cake, we had the chicken dinner house girls come out and sing Happy Birthday. Molly is not shy, but she does NOT like being forced to be the center of attention. This would be a trait she inherited from me. Sorry Molls, but the memory of it will be so funny.

I like the waitresses hand in the background. It's like she's gesturing to her fellow chicken dinner house girls, "Step back, this baby is going to attack."

The best way to end a birthday day? Presents...

Meeting Bob (she named him) for the first time...

Love At First Sight! :)

Daddy and Mommy are so proud of you Molly Joy! We love you SO much!
