Snow, Haircuts, and Swirly Pancakes

So to keep from posting 3 separate blogs, I am combining all three of these subjects in to one. Sort of a "Mash-Up Monday" if you will. Let us go in the order that I put them in...shall we?

Up first--snow. We've had our obligatory "Winter Blast" here in the DFW area. As a teacher, I can tell you that we were all praying for a snow day. Knowing what kind of weather my MO/IL fam is getting this winter, it was way past laughable...it was pathetic. Although it was pathetic, our first "Winter Blast" of the season was pretty while it lasted...which was a whole hour, maybe. Sadly, I am the mother who didn't let her children bundle up for what could be our only snow this winter. (I do know that there is a 60% chance of snow a week from tomorrow--bring it!) Instead I allowed the girls to stand at the back door (Molly was shirtless) and stick their hands into the falling flakes. It made them happy. Mother of the year.

I L.O.V.E snow so much! I hate that we don't get, at least, a little more than we usually do!

The girls "playing" in the snow. ;)

Up next...haircuts. Well actually it should be singular. Molly is the only one who got a haircut. Her very first haircut. *sniff* As you can see in the above snow picture, Molly was rockin' an awesome baby mullet. Your typical "business in the front, party in the back" look. Hers had that natural curly cue that I hated to cut off. Seriously. I really did. But, I gave in and decided that an even haircut would suit her much better. She was the perfect 2 year old at the "salon." She sat the in the "salon chair" perfectly still while watching "Wow, Wow, Wubzy" and practicing her steering skillz.

Getting the first curly cue chopped. :'-(

The Perfect Little Customer

She'll be a great driver someday...

I know it's hard to tell a difference from the front (although I can) but it looks much better. She did rock an awesome baby mullet though. :-)

Last--swirly pancakes. The pictures pretty much say it all. I was definitely the coolest mommy on the planet when we made colorful, swirly pancakes for breakfast on Sunday morning! Super easy (hello food coloring--the stuff is genius!) and super exciting for the girlies! Sundays are always awesome when you start them off with a fun, yummy breakfast!

SO FUN!
