She's A Triathlete!

Gracie Claire participated in the "Hooty's Kids Tri" this morning.  The hospital that Paul works at holds this race for kids each year.  I was nervous!  She was ecstatic!  She has been so excited to do a triathlon like her Daddy and today she got her chance.  She was not born to be an Olympic triathlete (or even a high school triathlete for that matter) but that girl has heart!  She worked so hard and never gave up!  When she jumped in the pool there was a bit of a panic, so Paul jumped in and swam it with her.  That was when I was the most anxious.  I even got teary at one point just because I wanted her to feel good about the whole thing.  She could've easily given up at that point, but she was all smiles and ready to keep going!  I was so proud of her (and so were her sisters...the best cheering section ever!)  She took her time on the bike ride and ran the entire run.  She had a complete blast and I'm so glad she got to do it!  Love my big girl and am so, so proud of her!
