Gracie Claire's Kinder Field Trip

The Friday before Spring Break, Gracie Claire had her big field trip to the zoo! I think the Kinder teachers are G to the enius for planning it the Friday before Spring Break. Score for me! I took the day off and got to go along as a, get this, PARENT! I didn't have to worry about counting children, or making sure the buses were on time, or hoping that no one wanders off...I just got to enjoy my girl on her first big field trip. There were so many parents that went that I didn't have to "chaperone" either. I was only in charge of Gracie Claire...again, SCORE! We had such a fun time. There are certain things that we don't do at the zoo when we have all three girls. We usually don't ride the train, we usually bring our own snacks and never buy any, and we never go in to feed the birds...thus, since I had only one of my children with me...she got spoiled! We did it all! Sidenote: I promise to be a fair and awesome mommy and make sure all of my girls get spoiled this way at the zoo at least one time each! :)

Gracie Claire's sweet little class!

Flamingos are always a favorite!

Time to ride the Train! :)

Interacting with the animals is always F-U-N!

Gracie Claire got to have Dippin' Dots. I think it was the highlight of her day. This picture shows how interested she is in the elephant, which was walking straight toward her. (Sarcasm intended.) Instead she was just humoring me by taking a quick second to look at the camera instead of stuffing her mouth full of those oh so delicious dots of ice cream/not so sure it's ice cream. :)

We got really close to the gorillas. The Papa gorilla didn't look so thrilled with GC. The look on his face as he is staring at her was just a little creepy...but cool at the same time. Gracie Claire also had a friendly little convo with the Mama gorilla. :)

The fact that GC touched this lovely Gray Banded King Snake (I know you're so proud that I remembered it's name babe!) made Paul so jealous...er, I mean proud. :)

We had such a blast! Loved getting to have a little one-on-one time with my big girl! Being a Mommy is just the best.
