Christmas Cookies with Gigi

This is the 4th year that we've made Christmas cookies with Gigi. This year all three of my girls had fun with Gigi. In 2007, Gracie Claire started this tradition with my mom. In 2008, Sydney "joined" in on the fun. Last year in 2009, both of my big girls really got to enjoy it! (You can click on the year to take you to the "cookie" posts from the past!) I love that they will have this memory with my mom. We grew up baking Christmas cookies each year with her and now they will have this special memory too! What's even cooler is that the recipe that she uses is my great grandma's grandmother's recipe. I believe that makes her my great-great-great grandma. My mom estimates that it's from the 1870s and maybe even older. The recipe card my mom uses is written in my great grandma's handwriting.

Ready to start!

Taking turns adding the ingredients... :)

One of these ladies is not like the others! :) Poor Molly is still learning some patience! :)
