Las Vegas, Baby!

For my birthday, Paul gave me a trip!  I got to choose somewhere new and shiny or somewhere cold and cozy.  Of course, I didn't choose until I knew my two choices...those choices being a cozy lodge somewhere with mountains or Las Vegas (new and shiny).  Since I'd rather spend longer than a weekend at a cozy lodge somewhere in the mountains, I picked Vegas!  A weekend was just enough to see the town, see a show, and get back to normalcy.  Paul and I really did have such a great time spending time together, just the two of us.  But we were both ready to get home.  We'll just say that Las Vegas is interesting fo sho.  ;)
The Grand Canyon from the plane...so beautiful!
We stayed at The Venetian.  It was gorgeous!  The painted ceilings were amazing.  The sky that you see in the pictures below is painted.  It really felt like we were outside.  We loved watching the people in the gondolas too.  People watching was so fun!
We had SO much fun at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.  I got to snuggle with some of my fave celebrities.  ;)
 My FAVE!
 She's so beautiful...even as a wax statue.  :)
 Fshizzle.
My dad is a big fan of the Duke.  This picture was for him.  :)
 More sights...

We saw the Cirque Du Soleil show "Mystere".  It was AMAZING!  My favorite part of the trip for sure!
I was so sad that Celine wasn't playing while we were there.  This is me pointing to the huge Celine sign at Caesar's Palace...which is where she plays.  Boo.
 The Bellagio Fountains were awesome!
We ate some delish hot dogs from Pink's.  Love me a hot dog.
 Love, love him.
Every vacation Paul and I have ever gone on together has included a trip to an aquarium of some sort.  We found one in the desert!  Mandalay Bay had a shark reef.  Not bad for a little aquarium! Love that we have this tradition.  :)
All in all we had a great trip!  We are both so glad that we were able to experience Vegas, but it's probably not somewhere we would ever go back.  We've decided we are more beach, sand, and sun type folks.  Plus, the scent that is Las Vegas is something I would not want to waft into my nostrils again.  :)

Thank you, babe, for a great trip!  The best part was having the time for just the two of us to spend together.  Love you.
