*This morning we got up early, put on comfies, and went to eat breakfast together. I love doing that. I think I want to make it a tradition.
*Last night our minister continued his series called, "What Jesus Hates," with a message called "Traditional Church." Go HERE to listen to the podcast. He talked of church traditions and rules that many of us have grown up believing are necessary, but in reality, they're not biblical. His point was that many churches are focusing on who is following the rules, who is worshiping the right way, who made sure to offer the invitation or have a closing prayer instead of focusing on who Jesus is and how our relationship is with Him. I love our church. Many people might listen to that message and be angry, but I love that our church is focusing on Jesus rather than focusing on making people happy.
*One of my closest friends at school, who was expecting her second daughter in June, delivered sweet baby Hadley last week at almost 23 weeks. If you want to read a story of amazing faith and trust in the Lord, even through the worst of storms, click HERE. It's not the whole story, but it's enough to encourage you and remind you that in the midst of total sorrow and heartbreak, the Father is still in control and holding us close. At the memorial service they played the song, "Bring The Rain," by Mercy Me.

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain
So I pray
Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You

*God is so, so good. There's definitely more to share, but I think I'll leave it with that for now.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12
